Backup settings

What is the best way to back up all the settings?
I tried to make image of the disc after all was working, did not seem to back it up right and took 1 hour to back up and another to re image disk. Does any one have good windows program or a usb bootable programs to image and resize partition?

I'm not sure how to make an image of the whole system, but you can use the System -> Backup -> Download Backup to get a copy of all your settings (except the alarm scripts, which is in the next version). I have been wracking my brain for a long time trying to come up with a way to easily allow you to reload the settings without having to mess with your IP or anything but haven't thought of anything that would work.
