There be smoke in post apocalyptic NJ today

Well the healing continues on the NJ shore today. My Turkey is in the WSM (post cider brine with pecan and maple wood) to the sounds of chain saws and heavy equipment as we ready ourselves for a great day of feasting and football. We consider ourselves lucky and our hearts go out to everyone who has suffered through significant losses lately.

Glad you guys pulled thru Mitch. Can't think of a better reason to fire up the pit, raise a glass, watch some Dallas Cowboys, and thank the Lord! Life is Good.

A special Happy Thanksgiving wish going out to everyone in NJ and NY and elsewhere affected by Hurricane Sandy. Despite everything, there is a lot to be thankful for today.

Thanks for the warm wishes from everyone. The bird turned out great and lots of family and friends enjoyed. Two pork shoulders sit in the frige with rub ready to go in at midnight for tomorrows BBQ dinner.
