I am thinking of smoking some ribs along with my 12 lb turkey for thanksgiving since I will have a rack open. Is this a really bad idea? No water in the pan, pretty high heat for ribs. I will probably have the turkey in a shallow pan so no drippings on the ribs. Any thoughts? Might just get another turkey for leftovers.
