I was in Las Vegas a few weeks ago attending a conference, and noticed that Gilley's was clearly a popular spot for tourists and conventioneers. I guess the Sunday night bikini bull riding is the highlight of the week.

Anyway, I didn't have a rental car and didn't want to cab to somewhere off The Strip, so I tried the barbecue at Gilley's. Can't say much about it, except that the Meyer's Hot Links, imported from Elgin, TX, were the highlight.

Regards,
Chris

I will be in Vegas in a couple weeks, and I have been looking for the best BBQ in town to check out. I want to go to an authentic BBQ place, not some 5 star Las Vegas Hotels restaurant. Would you recommend Gilley's, or are there better BBQ places in the area that you know of? Thanks!

I can't recommend Gilley's. Here's where I'd like to go someday, featured on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives on Food Network:

John Mull's Meats and Road Kill Grill
3730 Thom Blvd.
Las Vegas, NV 89130

Famous Daves is not bad; however, Memphis Bar-B-Q on Warm Springs is questionable. Memphis reminds me of some broiled or baked food with BBQ sauce.
