Greetings all, Ralph from CA here, just ordered a 18.5 WSM and awaiting delivery. I found this wealth of information while shamelessly watching about 5 hours worth of WSM vids on youtube psyching myself up for using this badboy.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi, been using Weber kettle and offset brinkman for years, looking forward to what I hear is a hugely different experience using WSM.

Hi Ralph. welcome to the forum. If you are anywhere near San Diego, check out the Classic car show and BBQ festival going on tomorrow in Santee. it's a KCBS sanctioned bbq competition. I'm going to taste a bunch of Q and hopefully see some slow and low masters!
