kettle rotisserie question

Hello All,

Can anyone tell me if the rotisserie shaft for the gas grill (#9890) is the same shaft that is used on the kettle rotisserie (#2290)?

I now have the gas rotisserie and would like to use on kettle. Weber offers the kettle support ring #63340 . (also would need s/s motor bracket).

Thanks for any help.

I can tell you this. I have the same gas grill you did (except it's not stainless) and my kettle skewer would not fit it. It's possible the gasser shaft might have notches that would fit the kettle but the kettle rotis would be too short for the gasser.

Justin & George,
thanks for the info.
yes, the rotisserie rod is longer than the kettle and i'm thinking the spit bushings made it work.
thanks again, arnie

first time i made rotisserie bird was with a hand-propelled spit.
three of us took turns turning the hen.
if i remember correctly, none of us 3 were sick afterwards so "Wishbone" musta been cooked through...
