Good Morning Everyone from San Diego,

I heard so many great things about TVWBB that I had to join it. Well I did back in May of this year and have received some great (and welcoming) advise regarding a CB Green Weber Performer that I bought (I love this cooking machine by the way) of CL. I also love the modification advise and photos that members have submitted for various mods. Keep up the great work.

Welcome Ali. I heard things were a bit warm the other day in your area. Cooler days seem to be here as well in northern NJ.
Cheers.

Good Morning Gabe

Hi Ali from a fellow San Diegan.

Hey Thanks Man. 2 things. Great job and fast drive over to Sabre Springs to grab that $25 Complete set Green Weber Performer from under my nose (even though i have a new version - lime green Create and Barrel version of it), and 2) I also have a Vision Kamado that I bought from Costco. I had to ask the company (awesome C/S by the way) to replace the top went with their high end cast Iron vent (the handel melted & the vent would get too hot and expand/get stuck, had to replace the burned out top and bottom gaskets and had to seal around the bottom vent. All this said, it now work amazingly for me. What do you think of yours? How does it cook for you?

Ali, I have done beef ribs, pork ribs, pork butt on the vision kamado
and they've come out great. Now, I got my Vision Kamado for $200 new from
one of the warehouse of GTM stores. and when it comes this cheap, it's easy to be
forgiving of little faults. The only build quality problem I've noticed is on the
draft door. Mine had/has a minor air leak where the draft door touches
the kamado exterior. I sealed this up a bit with hi-temp silicone. I
can get 250 and it'll stay there for over 9hrs by itself. Now that I
think of it, I do have one design issue with this grill: the capacity. If you
use a water pan on the bottom grate, you only have one 18 inch grate
for the food to be on.
I saw (for the first time in real life) a 22.5 WSM at the BBQ Galore
on Clairemont Mesa BLVD and it looks like it will definitely hold
enough ribs! I am hoping my wife reads this and gets me a 22.5 WSM
for Christmas.
I figure if you're gonna cook ribs that come out so good, you should
cook a lot of 'em and invite people over!

Got it. Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts with me Gab. Have a great weekend.
