Anything you can tell us about this place? Have you eaten there? Was it good? Anything special that I shouldn't miss if I go there?

Sorry if I offend anyone. Maybe they had an off day. Saw the billboards for years and decided to have lunch there one Sunday. The buffet was cheap, below avg bbq pork. Place needs a serious re-model.
 
I tried King's last week (as well as some other Eastern NC BBQ pits). There was nothing special about the food I ate at King's. The meat did not have any smoke flavor, but was moist and porky.
 
Yeah, NC's reputation for bbq doesn't hold true for all places in NC. Folks swear by a chain named Smithfields. Their Q taste liked canned heated with gas and soaked in vinegar. Sorry if I offend but that stuff doesn't resemble good bbq at all.
 
Smithfield is fast food bbq so it"s just so-so. I prefer the fried chicken or Brunswick Stew.

if you want good wood cooked ENC style try Wilbur's in Goldsboro.
