Question about using GA grill

I have a new Charcoal go anywhere grill and I plan to use it tonight (ribeyes).

I was just noticing that the charcoal is REALLY close to the meat and was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to use this grill versus a regular smokey joe or other kettle?

Thanks in advance.

if you look at the pics i posted you will see that most times there is just one layer of coals. in some i've seen they are spaced out a bit depending on what is being cooked. so no, i think you will find that you will have no problems. thats the fun of it, trying differant things.
