Bodacious Bar-B-Q in Marshall, TX, just east of HWY 59 on HWY 80(just past Whataburger).

Excellent food: brisket, pork spareribs, mild and hot sausage, turkey, ham around Thanksgiving & Christmas, and sloppy joes. Sides include beans, potato salad, and slaw. Also offer pickles, onion, peppers, cheese, and stuffed jalapeños. Sweet tea is the best.

Mild and hot sauce are both very good if you would like it. Also offer for sale their full line of seasonings: mild and hot sauces, rib rub, bean spice, and seasoning salt(potato salad seasoning). Sauce is good enough to drink.

I remember eating at Bodacious in Longview as a teenager in the 70's.

Bodacious was my first experience with a real BBQ joint. There were a few locations in Longview where I lived and some more around NE Texas. It's been 20 years but I remember developing a BBQ addiction quite quickly. It was, at least, a reprieve from university cafeteria food.
