I'm looking for a recipe for a sweet bbq sauce for ribs and pork. If no one has an exact recipe would you be able to provide a starting point of ketchup, brown sugar and cider vinegar?

Thanks!

Doug you might try No. 5 sauce:

1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 T worchestershire
1 T favorite dry rub

If you like sweet adjust the sugar by adding one more tablespoon...or add some fruit-I like a few dried cherries.

My Homemade BBQ Sauce

* 1 cup ketchup
* 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
* 4 tablespoons butter
* 3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
* 1 tablespoon plain prepared mustard
* 3 tablespoons finely minced yellow onion
* 2 teaspoons Wrights Liquid Hickory Smoke flavor (or to taste)
* 1/4 teaspoon Frank's Red Hot Sauce
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
* 1/4 teaspoon table salt

Makes 2 cups of sauce.

1. Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan.
2. Mix well.
3. Simmer over low heat for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
