I'm very fortunate to live close enough to Ed Cardoza on this board that we get to BBQ together from time to time. Last night Ed and his lovely wife came over for brisket and he brought ABTFG (FG = for gringos, he doesn't use jalapeños) which he stuffs with a chicken mixture sooooo good. I also did Doug D's smoked mushroom dip (highly recommend even though 1/2 of my smoked mushrooms ended up on my patio), garlic mashed potatoes and spaghetti squash, it was a great meal! We have a great time grilling/smoking, eating, talking, drinking great wine etc. (I'm nursing a pretty good hangover this a.m. and I'm sure Ed is to).
So here's my question, if you had the opportunity, who on this board do you think you would enjoy Qing with and why. There are the obvious names like K Kruger because you'd be having a gourmet meal and I think one would pick-up some great cooking techniques, or Chris A. as a thank you for this great site, but I'm sure there are others out there too. I do want to add that I thought about not posting this topic as I didn't want it to turn into some kind of a "high school" popularity contest, but then I figured I'd post it as I think some of the input could be interesting.
So here are a couple of mine in no particular order:
Bill F. - Bill wrote for Howard Stern and as a die hard Stern Fan for the past 20 + years I'd love to hear some of Bill's stories and insight on the early days of the Stern program.
Amir - My entire career has been in software (on the sales and marketing side), I'm sure Amir would have some great stories regarding his days at MS.
J.D. McGee - Based on J.D's posts (and pictures) I think he and I have similar taste in food, wine and scotch, it would be an interesting cook.
There are others but this post is already too long.
EDIT - I just caught this POST looks like the New Yorkers are making it happen! Good work!
