Do any one have an idea how to prepare a hind qtr. i want to smoke it in my pit. marinade or brine? what say you all
 
I do them at ~325-350 to an internal of maybe 140. They are so lean. I like to marinate but it isn't required. I do suggest oiling before rubbing and basting frequently with a fat-based baste.
