Vindaloo Q Sauce

Just did some beef back ribs. I had just visited the local Indian grocery and wanted a reason to open the jar curry paste that I just bought. Wow! What a taste treat! Here's something I tried that really gave a nice twist to traditional sauce and it's realy simple, too.

Ingredients:

1-2 Tbs. Patak brand Vindaloo Hot curry paste
1 Cup - Your favorite tomato-based BBQ sauce (I used Famous Dave's Original)
Dash of soy sauce
Dash of sesame oil

Preparation:

Heat pan over medium-high heat. Add 1-2 Tbs. of the curry paste. Stir and cook about 2 minutes. Enjoy the aromas that are released! Add about 1 cup of commercial sauce. Reduce heat. Add a generous dash of soy sauce. Cook to thicken. Add a dash of sesame oil just before serving.

I used this as a finishing sauce on the ribs and it was really tasty. Nice and "jammy", which is something I really like. But watch out! The curry can get hot in a hurry. Great with the rich beef taste of the ribs.
