Low Salt Rub for Sapreribs

All,

Looking for your guidance. Making some spareribs but a few of the folks are on low salt diets. Any advice for low salt rubs?

Jim,

You can use any of the hundreds of rub recipes listed here in the rubs section or in the Cooking Topics section and just leave out the salt entirely, or pre-salt the meat so you can control how much salt is used. Or you can use a salt substitute, however, I've never found one that I thought was worth using.
 
What Bruce said. Pre salt them then add a salt free rub that fits what you are after. Kevin K was the one that made me switch to this method. You controll the amount of salt,but still can add all the rub you wanna.
