A couple of weeks ago I was traveling through Iowa and came across Ol' Town Eats in Olin. I hadn't planned on stopping but when I saw the smokers I circled the block and parked.
There are other items on the menu but I went for the pulled pork, which was pretty good. The meat had a definite smoke flavor and the slice of smoked provolone cheese was an interesting addition.
Even though they were open the dining room was dark and empty (possibly because 1:30pm is after lunch and well before dinner) so I got my sandwich to go, which worked out well because there's a little park just down the street and I was able to sit at a picnic table to eat and relax for a bit.
