Friday night's dinner was Cowboy Steaks and John Solak's Grilled Onion Bacon Cheese Buds.

Got two large Idaho Russets sliced then EVOO'd and seasoned with Adobo...

Finally got some lighting inside the pavilion

Got the grill going with the spuds and the bud...

while the sides were cookin' fine and near completion, the big ol' ribeyes hit the fire.
Under the onion is a skillet of baby portabellas in butter.

not really Jon, they were just soo large, I thought slicin' um a little may speed up the cookin' time.
 
For somereasson i missed this one a few years back! Better late then...

Great one Jim! no wonders you were the one that made me stock up all my money in charcoal. :cool:
most consistent outdoor chef there is i guess! (and i dont count dem tribes in afrika) :D
 
Sorry to add to the cravings but I saw this when I googled onionbuds and had to give Lampe props!!! :)

amazing cook. I went to click on the link and got a 404. Then I looked at the date. Well a great chef then and now.
