Did some playing around this weekend and smoked some pecans. Pretty tasty. I imagine this would work for almonds, too.
About 2 T. butter/margarine
Salt to taste
A couple of handfuls of shelled pecans
Smear the butter on the bottom of some foil. Roll the nuts in the butter to coat. Salt to taste.
Shape the foil into a bowl shape and smoke 45 minutes at 225*. Let cool completely for best texture.
