3/4 bag of royal oak lump

has been going for 18.5 hours and still have enough left for at least 3-4 more hours. i may need it, the smaller of the 2 butts i put on at 8pm last night is still only 185. the bigger one just got to 200 and is foiled and resting.


what is the longest burn you have got with your forced draft system? i love my pitminder e-temp

I've gone 24 hours at 225 using Rancher.

i ended up getting 22 hours and probably could have got more. a 7 pound butt took 22 hours the bigger one was almost 9 and took 18.5. i know all cuts are different but that amazes me.

i had the charcaol ring overflowing. it was piled almost as high as the water pan(no water of course)with a few chunks of apple and pecan hidden in there and i used my mapp torch to light a few to get her going. then i threw a chunk of each on the lit coals and never opened it back up until the 18.5 hour mark. 230 grate temp never varried more than 4 degrees either way.

Longest for me was 17 hours...
