Looking for a cheap propane torch

I need one that will hook up to a 20 lbs propane tank out of the box. I found 2 at harbor fright tools.


this one hooks up to a 20lbs tank out of the box. it has only one burner.

this one is a couple bucks more but it has 3 different burners. the description does not mention if it connects to 20lbs propane tank out of the box though.

anyone own one of these? im trying to figure out which one to choose.

I would prefer either of the ones with the longer hose.

Their longer wands almost means you don't have to stoop over.

Take a look at the connectors on the ends of the hoses. Your first link shows the style of fitting that will go into a 20lb propane tank. Your second link shows the style of fitting that hooks up to a 16 oz propane tank,similar to what a plumber would use.

i got the one john recommended. WOW, I never owned a propane torch before. it scared the bejeezus out of me when i pressed the lever and gave it full blast. ill need to be very careful with this thing.

i ended up burning only a few weeds on my driveway because there was a couple cars parked there. i didnt want to be on the news (idiot blown to pieces using propane torch. accidently ignited his car.)

i almost want to return it.
