To those of you who have competed in this one before, what are my chances of getting selected to compete? I've only competed in one other competition a couple years ago. I finished in the middle of the pack in each category (around 20th out of 40 teams).

Is it even worth me sending in the application?
 
I haven't competed there, but I know someone local who has competed in many if not all of them. The one thing he said is that they are looking for teams that will vend.
 
Thanks. On that topic...not sure if you have any experience with vending, but typically what are the requirements? I'm talking about the legal stuff like vending permits, food inspectors, etc? Do they typically look the other way on stuff like that for fairs/festivals?
