22" OTS lid question

When using a little smoke wood on a kettle, do you guys notice a little of the smoke leaking out of the sides of the weber? It's not a ton, and there s still some coming out of the top vent, but wanted to see if this was common, or if lid was out of round.
 
Absolutely! Even without smoke wood in the kettle you can see smoke coming out of a lot of places on the kettle. Especially true with the Performer.
