This one is very unique and I am willing to bet has never been seen by anyone in your area. It is always a huge hit at parties.

Southern Jalapeno Relish (Appetizers)

12 Jalapeno peppers, diced
1 1/2 medium Onion, minced
3/8 cup Olive oil
3/8 cup Cider vinegar
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt

Combine oil, vinegar, and spices and whisk well.

Mix in with onions and jalapenos.

Refrigerate over night. Allow to warm up to room temp before serving.

I serve with plain old saltine crackers...I don't want any flavors to conflict with the relish.

Bump this one up. This simple recipe is one I will remember. Even better tasting "to me" on wheat thin crackers.
Thanks,
DP

True, Dale, and I'm with you on the Wheat Thins as well--or the Stone Ground Wheat crackers from Joe's. Also, if you can manage to find ripe peppers (which is tough sometimes) try those. Really good.
