Black beans and rice recipe

Good post and I'll bet your house smells great.

I also do beans in the crock pot and to "kick it up" a bit I usually add a smoked turkey thigh or a few smoked wings. The smoked flavor adds a lot to the beans and I also take the turkey out of the pot about an hour before serving. I throw the skin and bones away and chop up the meat and add it back to the soup pot. Quite tasty.
