I bought one for $49.99 at BBQ galore - so $50 on Amazon does not seem like a great deal. Simply the going everyday price.
BTW, my ET-73 is fine...when it works. Both probes have gone out twice (that's 4 probes) in a few months. And the base unit and transmitter lose connection frequently when only 10-20 feet apart, and there is no warning of this. It is definitely love-hate.
