Anyone have a good recipe? My wife occasionally goes to Cracker Barrell for lunch and loves their Chicken Fried Chicken. She has asked me to try and replicate it. She told me its breaded and comes with a cream gravy. Anyone have a good recipe? She asked me a couple of months a go and I completly forgot about it until I watched the youtube video about the Chicken Fried Bacon. Remember I'm not a Southern Boy I had no idea what milk gravy was until I watched Good Eats.

Gerry, While this is for chicken fried steak, just use chicken instead of the steak. This is a very good recipe. Link to Alton's chicken fried steak recipe.
I must have missed that episode. It's funny the Food Network used to be my go to place for all things culinary. Now I come hear first. I found a tyler florence recipe where he uses bacon grease to fry up the steak/chicken. I think I'll try that approach. Maybe make up some chicken fried bacon as a side dish.

Homesick Texan's recipe is the one I use. Again the recipe is for steak, but the substitution is fairly simple. You can find it here:
