BBQ Wood on Long Island, NY


 
I heard that there were some vinyards and apple orchards out there. Look 'em up, and ask if you can take some of their cuttings / trimmings / dead trees off their hands.

(It usually helps to "bribe" the owner with some 'que...)
 
Maple, wild cherry and oak are everywhere. Drive around after a bad wind storm and alot of times it's sitting at the curb cut up and ready to take

. As for charcoal if you mean lump, King Kullen has Royal Oak but it's not cheap. I havn't found any other source of decent lump in this area. Lowes only carries Cowboy lump which IMO is garbage.
