Just finished...

Drilling a hole in the lid of my WSM for my Tel-Tru BQ300. I didn't use the Unibit 4 but the Neiko version (cheaper on Amazon). My lid didn't come out unharmed though...I was trying to play it TOO safe and used 4 layers of duct tape so the bit wouldn't wander. The bit kept on getting gummed up and the end result had some chipped porcelin (not bad though). I was disappointed about the chips but they have been taken care of with some BBQ spray paint. My new thermometer is set to be delivered tomorrow (8-1-07) and I will be finished with all of my mods (for this season at least...). First smoke with the WSM is going to be an overnighter this Friday into Saturday. Butt over Brisket. First overnighter, first brisket. We'll see how she goes and I will post pics.
