Oh deer, im back! (See what I did there?)

Hello!
Its been to darn long good people! But end of summer combinded with a lot of things to do at work have me lack the time to work the grill and smoker.

But yesterday my wifes parents came to visit and I made them a great deer brisket. Never tried it before but got my hand on this deer from a friend who hunt. So I got more parts.

Served with a red wine sauce who was reduced 1/3 and made from scratch ofcourse.

But enough talk, lets see the result from the WSM!

Just some olivoil, garlic and black pepper.

Looks great Dennis! Cant really stand game meat myself,I´v had my share of it while growing up. Now im an adult and can eat whatever i want

Looks great. How was it? Being so lean, did it dry out from the long cook?
 
yaya Bob, but I have a feelin' Dennis is still out there cookin' up tremendous stuff just like this... ain't so Dennis?
 
Wish Dennis, Wolgast, Coffman, Don Money, and many others were still posting on a regular basis.
But who am I to say that, I've been slacking lately.
 
That is one awesome piece of meat and that sauce WOW!!! Fantastic job and welcome back looking forward to seeing more cooks.
