In a 12 inch cast iron pot.
1 stick butter
4 pkgs. quick cake mix-Jiffy
4 cans fruit pie filling
Lube pot with butter, add just enough water to dry mix to wet thouroghly, add fruit-apple is my favorite, top with pecans and raisins.
Approximate cook time is up to 1 1/2 hours in a charcoal fire. One layer of coals underneath and one layer on the lid. Rotate for even cooking.
This is the highlight of the day and quite a tradition on our Troop 55 Scout Campouts.
