Late to the party. Brinkmann pans?

I expect to receive my first WSM (amazon), this coming week. Meanwhile, I'm forfeiting considerable sleep time reading about all of the clever mods you folks have done.

It seems basspro.com no longer carries the Brinkmann charcoal pan #114-0002-0. Short of ordering directly through Brinkmann, are there any other known (cheaper) resources that still exist?

Thanks.

Steve, I wouldn't worry about the larger water pan. After a few cooks you'll be wanting to go waterless anyway since everybody eles is doing it these days.

Once you figure out fire control, I see no need to use water in the WSM. JMO

Thanks, Bryan. I've been using sand in my Bandera for years. It is good to know that technique works well on the WSM too.

*FYI follow-up: I visited the Bass Pro store, in Columbia MO, a few days ago. The only pans that location carried were the Brinkmann water pans.

For now, I am content to run with the stock Weber pan. Assuming the amount of sand it holds proves sufficient for heat retention, I should be able to put this five bucks towards some new therms.
