Wanted a good side & snack and tried these. Peel and cut the potatoes into about 1/4 inch slices. Toss with EVOO and lightly dust with favorite rub. I used my pork rub since its a bit sweeter than the chicken or beef rubs. Then grate a little bit of nutmeg on the slices and throw on the grill. They only take about 15 minutes to cook and are a great alternative to sweet potato fries.

Hi, Jim,

It's a nice coincidence that you posted this. I just pulled the following recipe from Cooking Light magazine. I already have the sweet potatoes and will try your version too.

GRILLED SPICY SWEET POTATOES
Makes 4 servings (serving size: 1/2 cup).

3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound sweet potatoes, peeled, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
Cooking spray
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

1. Combine the first 4 ingredients in a small bowl.
2. Combine oil and sweet potatoes in a medium bowl, toss to coat.
3. Heat a large grill pan coated with cooking spray over medium heat (or a grill, preheated to Direct/Medium heat – RDY)
Add potatoes, and cook for 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
4. Place potatoes in a large bowl; sprinkle with cumin mixture and cilantro. Toss gently
