Dry Asian Rub


 
I made some marinated Chineese spare ribs over the weekend. I could give you that if you'd like......

For a rub I would probably use ginger, five spice powder, and some garlic. You could also use a little anise if you like but I'm not partial to it.

The standard Dry Asian rub that I use is Chinese 5 spice. Try it on it's own before you add to it. Some use additional dry ground garlic, chilli, sechuan pepper, ginger etc.
I prefer it on it's own.
