Frozen regulator??

Last night I fired up the Genesis Silver B to grill up some marinated beast, and could not get the burners to stay lit, they kept sputtering out like my propane tank was near empty. I removed the tank and shook it violently and hooked it back up and tried it again, thinking it could have been vapor locked-no luck! Weighing my options, I tried pouring hot tap water on the tank and regulator and it fired right up and stayed lit! It wasn't even that cold here.(low 30's)
Anyone else having and cold weather grilling issues?
