I've been messing around trying to make a good BBQ sauce. I finally came up with something that I like. So I wanted to share.
I start by making a beer reduction sauce with the following:
New Belgium 1554
1 Jalepeno
2 Habaneros
1/2 cup of sugar
Cut just the tips off of the peppers and add all ingredients to a sauce pan. Bring to a simmer and reduce it down to 1/4. That should take about 40 minutes.
Once it has been reduced, strain out the peppers and any seeds. In a sauce pan add the following (along with any of your own tweeks):
1 cup of Ketchup
1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp spoon of Valentina Hot Sauce (or hot sauce of your choice, although none are better than Valentina
)
Make sure all has been mixed in well and let cool and serve.
Thanks for looking.
