NY Strips and 1st time Hasselbacks

Stocked up on 2 ny strip sections at local butcher yesterday (33 lbs yield 35- 1 inch steaks) for $3.99 a lb
My mother requests steaks on every visit cuz she says they taste better off of my grill and when she has good company to eat em with...

1st time Hasselbacks gettin there- loved the crunchy exterior , just need to cook a bit longer to fully cook thru interior.... Kids are Already asking "when we having those crunchy potatoes again "

A couple of da strips and Gus.... Weber steak and chop for the steaks and Evoo /garlic salt for da Gus

A few turkey cheddar sausage for tomorrow's dinner along with some leftovers for the lil yinzers ( the wife and I are going to the PIRATES game)

Plated..shrooms.. A1.. And a heaping helping of granulated garlic for my steak please. Sum corn on da cob on da back with Butta and old bay

What a fantastic meal, I'd love to taste some!

Just remember, Your'e making Hasselbacks "Wisconsin style". The original recipe calls for peeled potatoes, buttered, and with bread crumbs on the top. You should try that sometimes, too.
 
Thanks Geir... Once I get the Wisconsin style down a lil better I will try the original... When i googled Hasselbacks , I did read about the origins and the original recipe...
