Hi my name is Jim. I grew up using the 22 inch Weber Kettle. It has been a work horse for both grilling and smoking. Until Fathers Day it was the only Weber l owned. I now have a 22.5 Weber Smokey Mountain which drove me to find this wonderful website. Once here l knew l had to join. I took the advice of many and bought an extra charcoal grate and wired them along with the ring together using stainless steel wire. So my first mod is complete and l haven't used it yet other than initial burn off and seasoning.
 
Welcome to the forum Jim. Sounds like a great Father's Day. Congrats on that great smoker. This is a good place to share and to learn. The folks here are very friendly and will help in any way they can. Enjoy the site. And remember, we like pics.
