Scratch and Rust Inside Spirit Firebox

Hello,

When removing the flavorizing bars at some point, I scratched the inside of the firebox. The scratch is about an inch long, and has developed rust.

What's the best way to deal with this?

Pretty sure the Spirit like the Genesis has a cast aluminum fire box so kinda hard to have it "rust"
