Pork Belly Too Thin???

Picked up a case of pork bellies from Restaurant Depot yesterday for about $2/lb with the skin. Got them home and they looked really thin, maybe an inch with the skin. They were large slabs, folded in half and frozen in paper. This seems much thinner than some of the slabs I've bought from the local farmers market/butcher. For those who've been getting theirs from RD, is this normal and I'll just end up with thin bacon?
