Chicken: no turkey

Hi gang - We were invited over to friends for Thanksgiving, so we got off easy with sides and pies. We did get a turkey from TJ; but it's resting comfortably in the freezer, waiting for Christmas. I HAD to grill something this weekend, so chicken it was on Sunday. Here she is after jumping on the Performer. KBB w/ two small pieces of peach.



about an hour later,the Hasselbacks go on. I lanced the chicken to aid in rendering the fat



It's always a crap shoot nowadays: giblets or not... score!

Nice looking plate Brian. Giblets huh, reminds me of the old Wendy's commercial "parts is parts".
 
Great job on the chicken and potatoes. Everything looks delicious, stay warm and have a great week.
 
I had to do a doubletake on the first picture til I realized it was spatch'd. Looks great!
