Anyone use a Hacksaw for the slot mod?

I would like to cut a slot on my 14 but I do not own an angle grinder or dremel. I know it will be a longer process and I will have to make a few cuts, but do you think a hacksaw would get the job done?
 
A hacksaw will work just fine. Drill a 3/16" hole (or whatever diameter you need) where you want the bottom of the slot. Then all you have to do is make 2 cuts. It shouldn't take long at all.
