Want to finally make bacon, will this salt cure work?


 
I think you would be fine with that. I double checked to make sure it had the sodium nitrite to make sure it would preserve the meat and it does. I found a link here:

Under specs it list the ingredients. We use a similar product at our butcher shop for curing meat. When we buy it, it's listed as pink tinted cure. Actually the proper name brand on the stuff we buy is called Heller's Modern Cure, but I checked the ingredients and it is identical to the Smokehouse Curing Salt you are looking at.
