Of related interest ... Stovetop heat controller


 
I think it's one thing to have a remote controlled BBQ controller, as a BBQ is normally outside. I would be pretty hesitant about installing a servo driven knob on a gas range inside my house!
 
I saw this when it kicked off and laughed because a friend of mine has been asking for a HeaterMeter that did this except with his gas grill's knobs for years!
