New Party Q Adding CB Door and Gasket Kit. Slot or Grommet

Hi all, Purchased a Party Q and will be adding a CB door and gasket kit for my "out of round" 18" WSM. Looking for suggestions as to grommets or slots for for the probes. My obvious concern is air leaks. Looks like Harry Soo uses grommets in some of his you tube videos but not sure.

I have one cooker with the slot and one with a grommet. I prefer the slot. It's much easier to deal with.

My 14.5 WMS has a grommet & a slot. I never use the grommet.

I have the 2014 model with the grommet and it's only a pain when I forget to run the probes through before starting the cook. Unfortunately, that happens a lot.

My 22 WSM runs steady at what T I want with my BBQ GURU. I removed the gasket round the door when I installed CB one. But I left the gasket round the lid. All my cables run at the bottom of the new CB door, like was with the original Weber door
