Just ordered a Q1000, do I need to have any kind of break in for the grate?

Just get it hot, oil it and cook

Sorry, don't do pics, no gear or iphone, we can get pics if my better half takes a pic, downloads to her comp, then emails to me, then I put it on my old comp, just too much hassle.

Heh, don't worry about it this site is such a PIA to post photos on anyway you'd be pulling your hair out ;-) I know I did. I managed once or twice sometimes only a link shows up, sometimes an actual photo. I honestly don't know why this site has to be so difficult to do a simple task. So just enjoy your Q and don't worry about the photos
