(If you don't get the reference, find a teenager. :) ) Any way, I have 4 racks of BBs in the smoker and realized NO SAUCE! Argh. So a quick trip to the spice cupboard and liquor cabinet ensues... Whipped up a sauce base - 50/50 organic tomato sauce and organic ketchup with an onion chopped finely for each can of sauce. Some soya (for salt and colour) and some Worchestershire. Lots of garlic. Divided in two and one will be a tequila habanero and the other, maple (with some maple rye!) morita. The former hot and not too sweet while the latter is maple-sweet smoky goodness. Total prep time about 10 minutes with about 45 minutes cooking. Guests get dry, maple or tequila ribs with roast garlic mashed potatoes. Ya can't lose! :) I LOVE making my own BBQ sauces.
