Smoked/fried vs Oven Baked Turkey

The wife insisted on turkey smells in the house, so I did one 11 pounder in the oven and the other on the smoker and for the last half hour I tossed it into the Char-broil oil-less fryer. So I didn't have to =try to stuff it hot into the fryer basket I simply cooked the whole thing in the basket.
Rub: I used McCormack Chicken and also Smokehouse Maple and some pats of butter under the skin. I used orange wood chunks. Filled ring with RO lump and poured a chimney of KBB lit over it, ran at 325 for entire smoke, about 2 1/2 hours. Came out very good :wsm:

Depends, my wife doesn't like smoked chicken or turkey, hence the oven bird, the skin was best on the oven bird!

Which one was better, I have to say the smoked one. I went a bit heavy on the smoke as it was orange wood, but it was very good.

Had to scrape the snow off the smoker!
