Out of round WSM

I dropped my center section while installing wheels to unit. Lid now fits differently. I measured it and it's about 3/16 inch out of round. I saw somewhere how to straighten this. HELP

You need to give it a little bear hug, But don't use much pressure cause it doesn't take much then measure it again

I may need to give a BIG BEAR HUG, this is the 22.5.

Do you have a ratchet strap? If so place the business end over the high spot with a wood shim under it and give it a few clicks till it reads true.

The bear hug method worked for me. You just have to be very gentle and go a little bit at a time.

Oh, and don't wear a nice shirt if the WSM is seasoned. Don't ask me how I know...

I "bear hug" every kettle/WSM I pick up without a second thought.
