Cast Iron grates for SJS worth it?

Hi all,

Craycort has CI grates for the SJS. I'm wondering if anyone here uses them. I get plenty of heat from the stock SJS but more couldn't hurt for searing and cooking small meals, which is all I plan to do on the cute little grill.

I use grill grates on mine. They work great and reduce flame ups.

Jose, I have had a set of Craycorts for my SJS for a couple of years. You can't beat them for searing, heat distribution and heat retention. I really like them and never fire up the grill without them.

Everyone that has them, loves them.
You almost never see them in the used market....that speaks volumes.
They're on my wish list.

If you like to high-heat sear, go for it.
They're a quality product.

I have craycorts on both of my smokey joes. Much easier to maintain than on the performers.

Hey Jose... Don't know if you saw my post in another thread earlier today regarding Craycort CI Grates. Take a look at the link if you didn't. I love the product, but had very bad experiences with their quality control and customer service. My experience and my opinion only.
