Today I installed the 1/4 inch Cajun Bandit Grommets on my 22.5 WSM. I installed an upper and lower grommet on the same bracket. I think that may have been ill advised and I need some opinions. I tightened the locking screw (sits inside the nut) as tight as I could get it onto the copper grommet However, the nut still turns when I spin it with my fingers. Is this perfectly normal for this set up or should I do something more?? I still use the water pan when I cook and I'm afraid the bracket might collapse if it isn't tight enough and that could be catastrophic if the water came down on all those hot coals. The nuts and bolts that I replaced were locked in nice and tight but I can see a small amount of play in the bracket itself (not much just some). Should I leave it as it is or move the bottom gromet to another bracket in the top rack position and put the old nut and bolt back in to replace the the bottom gromet for better stability?
